This week I shot Gymnastics! Definitely my favorite sport to shoot. I’m really getting the hang of beam but vault is a different story. Holy focusing issues. If I shot straight on with them running towards me, then I could focus and get the shot, but I feel like there was too much going on in the background. I did have better luck with bars this time around, however. I didn’t have that much of a problem getting all of the girl in the frame, even though I used the 300 again. Floor was a little better as well. Although, maybe it was just where I was in the stands, but I would get the shot and kept getting terrible background clutter in half the shots. Overall, I think I did better than when I first shot gymnastics.
